  • 2018 Lowden S-35M
    Sold

    2018 Lowden S-35M

This beautiful compact Lowden S-35M is a true treat to play. Being a comfortable 12 fret instrument this guitar plays with minimal effort. The tone just sings. Mahogany is a classic guitar tone wood that delivers rich warm sound in spades. This particular mahogany is a gorgeous figured wood both on the back and sides as well as the top. The figuring has a lush curl that extends from end to end of each piece of wood. Truly mesmerizing. When I play this guitar it has a great resonance that enlivens every note. Perfect for intimate finger style playing and light picking. The rich tonal complexity invites one to explore further into the tonal palette this instrument offers. Bold yet articulate this compact guitar is a joy. This instrument was gently and carefully handled by its single owner and displays only the light wear one might expect of such a well loved guitar. Little to no fretwear. There is a a little wear on the binding but you have to really look and feel closely to notice and a small patch of buckle rash on the back that you have to really search for to see. Overall this instrument is in excellent condition. Comes with a nice Hiscox hard shell case with the Lowden logo on the front.
  • 2005 David Myka Dragonfly
    Sold

    2005 David Myka Dragonfly

Have you ever imagined what it might be like to play an acoustic guitar with the sound of an arch top and the comfort of a Les Paul shape? Well here you go. The David Myka Dragonfly has gobs of tone that will delight the ears. Beautifully appointed as-well with what appears to be a Hawaiian Koa head stock and tailpiece veneer. Ebony Waverly acoustic tuners. Honduran Mahogany back and neck seamlessly carved together. And a beautifully carved Sitka Spruce top. To top it all off it has a gorgeous Dragonfly in abalone inlayed at twelfth fret. This is a guitar that can do it all from jazz to blues to rock this fits the bill. A diverse and capable instrument. It even has a great acoustic tone unplugged. This is a bit of a hybrid instrument unique in its form and tone. The level of craftsmanship on this instrument is outstanding. The Bartolini pickup system on the guitar has amazing versatility. One volume, one tone and the other two knobs select which part of the pickup coil is engaged. This allows one to explore an incredibly diverse range of tones from this single guitar. In terms of condition, this instrument is in excellent condition considering its age. It was well loved and well taken care of. There are a few dings and dents in the top including a few marks where someone picked a bit heavy where one might place a pick-guard. Little to no fret-wear. Otherwise in beautiful condition. An amazing hybrid of acoustic guitar, archtop and electric guitar technology. Incredible. And fun to play! Comes with a snug fitting TKL hard case.

    2005 Gretsch 1962 Country Classic G6122-1962

This is an excellent playing and sounding instrument. The last owner was justifiably unsatisfied with the original factory frets on this guitar and had a full fret replacement done by Circle Strings of Burlington, Vt. and so it has a very professional and solid feel. The guitar is very clean except for the detachable back pad which is replaceable. The natural tone is amplified by a hot pair of Gretsch Filter'Tron pickups and authentic Bigsby vibrato for classic tone with a modern feel. It comes with it’s original hard shell case.

  • 2011 Santa Cruz Vintage Artist
    Sold

    2011 Santa Cruz Vintage Artist

Fashioned after Doc Watson’s prototype, this guitar sounds and plays just great with a loud rich Mahogany tone and nice low action. The guitar is in excellent condition but we are rating and pricing it as in “very good” condition as the Sitka spruce top had a center seam repair performed by Santa Cruz Guitars, but without full lacquer work, so it is still a little visible cosmetically if you're looking for it, but it is completely structurally sound. Otherwise, the guitar is as clean as whistle and has a great overall appearance. But it really the feel and tonal characteristic of this guitar that makes it outstanding. It is gig ready with a K&K Pure Mini pickup. It comes with its original hard shell case.
