Humidification

The OH-14 Case Plus+ Humidifier uses the same evaporative membrane as the OH-5 Plus+ Humidifier, providing 50% more daily humidity than either the OH-6 Case Humidifier or the OH-1 Guitar Humidifier. This humidifier is designed for use in drier climates (desert, mountain or frigid north) where the relative humidity is below 25%. The OH-14 Case Plus+ Humidifier, like the OH-6 Case Humidifier, attaches to the inside of your instrument case. To accomplish this, two powerful neodymium magnets are inserted in the seam of the humidifier. The magnets attach to either a steel clip or a stainless steel strip with adhesive backing (both are provided with the humidifier). The steel clip fits over the side of your case, providing a flat vertical surface to which the magnets can adhere. The neodymium magnets are strong enough to keep the humidifier attached to the clip or strip, but still allow the user to remove the humidifier with ease. The OH-14 Case Plus+ humidifier can be used to humidify the headstock of a guitar by attaching the clip over the backside of the case. The humidifier can also be used in stringed instrument cases such as violin, viola or cello by attaching the stainless steel strip to the inside of the instrument case with the double sided tape. The steel clip and strip give the user a wide variety of ways to attach the humidifier to the case. Like all of our humidifiers, we provide a 10 cc syringe for distilled water filling control.

The DAMPIT is the most economical, efficient and time-tested system for keeping your instrument properly humidified. Other systems claim to maintain humidity levels but will not raise humidity under dry conditions. The DAMPIT does both which prevents cracks and restores damaged wood.

Take the guesswork out of protecting your instrument. When the relative humidity drops below 40%, a guitar, or any wooden musical instrument, is at risk of cracking or warping. The Oasis® OH-2C Digital Hygrometer accurately measures relative humidity, helping you decide when to protect your instrument with the Oasis® Guitar Humidifier. The OH-2C is identical to the OH-2, except that it allows for humidity calibration. Calibration allows the user to adjust the hygrometer +/- 5 RH points if any changes are needed. We recommend using the Boveda One-Step calibration kit (75% RH) to determine whether the hygrometer is accurate. Simply open the plastic bag holding the calibration kit and insert the OH-2C. Leave it in the bag overnight and see if the reading on the hygrometer is 75% the next day. In most conditions, the OH-2C will vary less than 3 RH % points. If the reading is not spot on 75%, the hygrometer can be easily adjusted, by following the directions on the enclosed instruction sheet packed in the box.Because relative humidity varies even inside your home, we recommend that you keep your hygrometer near your instrument.
