Butterscotch blonde, and a nice beefy 50s neck, this thing is a total classic! Classic tele twang, shimmer and sparkle abound with a good bit of growl if it calls for it. This thing plays easy, looks good and is a real dependable machine. There is a bit of finish wear at the headstock where it was hung, some finish checking on the neck, a cigarette burn near the low e string tuner and the frets were a bit corroded when they came in so we flitzed them and they play nice now. Overall very good condition. Comes with a tweed hard shell case.
Killer, clean bass tone! This limited edition 2006 Warwick Thumb bass has pristine and versatile bass tonal range. Setup with flat-wound strings, this bass sounds fat and warm and the whole thing just has a really smooth quality about it. Ok, enough gushing about the incredible tone. Built from a mesmerizing Poplar burl this bass has a master grade visual appeal, especially with the carefully crafted abalone bird inlays on the fingerboard. Nicely designed, finely executed and just a tone machine! It is missing one screw at the truss cover and comes with a gig bag.
Weighing in at a svelte 7 lbs, 8 oz, the Fender Custom Shop introduces the '57 Telecaster Journeyman Relic. An expertly crafted incarnation of the Telecaster from a particularly prized model year, it's loaded with looks, sound and vibe that authentically evoke the instrument in the second half of its debut decade. The two-piece select ash body produces sweet midrange and tight lows, and wears striking Journeyman Relic lacquer finishes in Aged White Blonde, Wide Fade Two-Color Sunburst and Aged Candy Tangerine. This special treatment imparts the look of a guitar that has changed hands or been handed down over the years, mostly played around the house and the occasional jam session or weekend gig. This generally well-cared-for look includes light finish checking, several "friendly" down-to-the-wood nicks and dings, some dulling of the hardware, and general moderate playing wear. The look of a very lucky find, in short. The one-piece quartersawn maple neck is sculpted with a '57-style Soft "V" profile for comfortable and period-correct full-hand feel, topped by a 9.5" radius maple fingerboard with 21 narrow tall (6105) frets and a bone nut. Dual Custom Shop hand-wound '58 Telecaster pickups with Fat '50s Tele wiring deliver clear, crisp highs with well-balanced midrange and low end. Other premium features include a single-ply parchment pickguard, three-way pickup switch, '55-'57 Telecaster® bridge with steel barrel saddles, vintage-style tuners, wing string tree, deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity. This guitar is in excellent condition.
One of the distinctive traits of maple as a tonewood is its sonic transparency, which makes it wonderfully player-reflective. On this maple/spruce 614ce, a torrefied (specially roasted) Sitka spruce top and our tone-enhancing V-Class bracing take that natural versatility to a whole new level. Whatever the player brings to the guitar comes through—it can be played to sound warm or bright. The roasting process for the top elicits a more played-in tone, and together with the V-Class bracing gives the player a more expressive tool in the form of increased dynamic range, greater projection, longer sustaining notes, and more harmonic agreement with chords up the entire fretboard. The 614ce also stands out as one of the most touch-sensitive models in the entire Taylor acoustic line. Whether you play fingerstyle arrangements or strum in alternate tunings, whatever your preferred musical style, this guitar pays musical dividends on what you put into it. Aesthetic touches include a hand-rubbed Brown Sugar stain that highlights the rich figure of the maple back and sides, along with ebony binding, a paua abalone rosette trimmed with ebony and ivoroid, and our Wings fretboard and peghead inlays in grained ivoroid. The guitar ships with ES2 electronics in a deluxe hardshell case.
