This little Gloss Black Coupe is one of the coolest guitars to come out of the Bourgeois shop! The Aged Tone Sitka top combined with Aged Tone Curly Maple is our favorite wood combination on the L/DBO and is exceptionally warm sounding, especially for a small guitar. The short scale, 1 11/16”” nut width neck is incredibly easy to play. The "C" shaped, custom round neck carve has no V and was shaped as thin as possible for maximum ease and comfort. It is in excellent condition with only the most minor fret wear and has been kept humidified in its original hard shell case.

What a sweet instrument this Maple 000 RCM is, with a nice comfy 1 11/16" nut and a short 25" scale length it is easy to play and easy on the ear. Iris guitars out of Burlington, VT knock it out of the park once again with a gorgeous figured maple back and sides far above the pay grade of this modestly priced instrument. And in the right light you see that the Sitka top has a generous amount of bear-claw to it. A true beauty. Built by Hermann Weissenborn in Los Angeles in the 1920s and 1930s. It is estimated that fewer than 5,000 original instruments were produced, and it is unknown how many now survive. The signature feature of Weissenborn guitars is the hollow neck, effectively a highly adapted body chamber that runs the entire length of the body. This single-owner Style 3 is the second fanciest Wessenborn offered at that time. It is in excellent condition with no wood cracks. The burned-in brand is on the inside of the back as is the logo of the distributor Henry Stadlmaier. It is light and resonant and has incredible tone that you would expect from a 100 year old all-Koa instrument. No case is included.
This beautiful 1940's Martin is all-original, in excellent condition with nice low action and it sounds...incredible! If you've been looking to own a playable piece of Americana...look no farther, this one's for you! It comes with a 1970's Martin hard case.
This is the quintessential Dana Bourgeois Banjo Killer. Banjo Killer was coined by Bluegrass guitar legend Bryan Sutton to describe the loud and cutting tone of the Banjo Killer. In 2006 they did a run of 30 Banjo Killers signed by Bryan Sutton. This guitar features premium wood throughout. Brazilian RW bridge, fingerboard and bridge plate (for that extra cutting sound). Beautiful Bearclaw Sitka top and figured Mahogany back and sides. Although you might think of this as a premium flat picking instrument, this guitar sounds absolutely beautiful fingerpicked. Comes with the original hard shell case and has an ebony strap button installed at the heel. Why I love this guitar: The tone is crisp, warm, mature and you don't have to put much force into it to get it really ringing. Many guitars have a fundamental resonance of a-flat but this one sings at a low G making the G chords and scales absolutely boom and sing. Light fretwear under the B string at the first five frets, and light pickwear on the pickguard. There are signs of slight fingernail wear in the fingerboard where one frets the G and D chords. Along with the usual signs of gentle handling of a well loved guitar. No visible dings or dents of note. This guitar is awesome!

Long favored by country musicians – and additionally popular with a variety of American roots stylists – the Slope D is widely regarded as a superb choice for vocal accompaniment. We hand selected the Brazilian Rosewood set and Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce for this guitar with Dana Bourgeois at his Lewiston, Maine shop. The tone is enhanced with Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce bracing attached with animal protein glue and Aged Tone body finish. This is a fine flatpicking guitar but also would serve well as a fingerpickers’ Dreadnought-of-choice. With its original hard shell case.
