Excellent Condition This near-new condition D28 is fully set up with low string action and barely any signs of play at all. The D-28 Modern Deluxe is a new take on Martin Vintage. The vintage appointments include a Sitka spruce VINTAGE TONE SYSTEM® (VTS) top, a dovetail neck joint, and natural protein glue construction that give it the rich, fully aged Martin tone that has inspired generations. The look is unlike anything in Martin’s production line to date with European flamed maple binding, stylish gold frets, gold open-gear tuners, and a unique 1930s style script logo inlaid in pearl on the headstock. Some ultra-modern features include Liquidmetal® bridge pins with red dots and a composite carbon fiber bridgeplate that boosts volume. It is not often we have a beautiful, gently used, reissue '61 Gibson SG with a shiny Vibrola whammy bar. This thing exudes rock n' roll with its vintage vibe. Light weight and punchy this guitar is a total classic especially with that vintage cherry finish. Little to no fret-wear and the overall condition is excellent! This guitar comes with its original Gibson SG hardshell case.

Sold1964 Gibson LG-1 Sunburst w/ K&K Pure Mini Pickup
Looking for a guitar with vintage vibe? This 1964 Gibson LG-1 has a lovely ladder braced tone in a comfortable body shape. This guitar has a K&K pure mini pickup installed so it is gig ready. The sunburst finish is gorgeous and the frets have light fret-wear with tons of life left in them. This guitar is wonderful for a wide range of styles and is true Americana. Comes with what appears to be an original hard shell case. The overall condition is very good to excellent, especially for its age. There is some checking in the finish at the upper bout and there is a little chunk missing from the back of the headstock at one of the points, all lending true vintage character to this beautiful guitar. My favorite thing about this guitar is how the volume and tone are nicely proportional to my voice when I sing. Sean Watkins plays an LG-2 (x braced) but this guitar reminds me quite a bit of his music. Overall a lovely guitar.

From local Vermont Luthier, Michael Tulloch, this sloped shoulder dreadnought has beautiful warm tone. Built from gorgeous figured Mahogany back and sides and a lovely grained spruce top this guitar has a meaty sound. Equipped with an Anthem SL, this guitar is gig ready and comes with a hard shell case for transport/storage. This guitar is Gibson inspired but very Tulloch and if you forget you can reference the lovely MWT at the headstock or the pyrographed name inside the soundhole. The condition of this guitar is very good, with medium to light fretwear and a few scratches/ dings dents here and there. Overall a lovely hand built instrument from independent luthier, Michael Tulloch of Chelsea, VT.
Sold1990 Gibson J-45 w/ LR Baggs Anthem Pickup
This guitar has been through hell and back again. The story goes that it was victim to a flood and was resurrected, fully restored to full gig readiness. Everything you can think of was gone over, cleated cracks, neck reset, new EVO gold fretwire, a LR Baggs Anthem Pickup System, replaced kirfing, strap button, new tuning machines, new bridge, saddle/pins and tons of finish re-work. What is the result of all this? A totally vibey gig ready guitar, fully restored and ready for the next 100,000 miles. To top it all off it comes with a genuine Gibson hard shell case. The tone on this guitar is beefy, warm, throaty and punchy. It has that classic dry Gibson tone that we all know and love. Get it before its gone!

We love these National Resophonic electric guitars. They have a unique sound, are beautifully constructed and are a little bit different than the guitars one sees every day. To top it all off, plug one of these bad boys into a good tube amp and you have a powerhouse. One of my favorite thing about this guitar is the figured maple top with its light burst and the tasteful pick-guard on top. This lightly used Resolectric displays little to no fret wear and appears to have been well taken care of. The only signs of use in the finish are a few miniscule scuffs/nicks in the back of the guitar. This guitar is in excellent condition and comes with its original hard shell case.

The sides and back of the guitar are sourced from The Milagro tree, a “miraculous” Brazilian rosewood tree that is estimated to have germinated in the early 1600s. Mother Nature blessed this spectacular Brazilian rosewood tree with an unforgettable and unparalleled tone. When struck, it can resonate like glass with unmatched sustain and projection. This guitar features a salvaged Sitka spruce top, hand-selected by Tom Bedell. This gorgeous Grand Parlor size is lightweight and rings like a bell! It features Wenge back & sides, a Western Red Cedar top and Snakewood body & fretboard bindings. It sports a master grade Ebony fingerboard with Brown Mother of Pearl Wolf Track inlays, an Ebony bridge with Snakewood bridge pins and a Wenge & Snakewood radial rosette as well as a faux tortoiseshell pickguard. This guitar features double sides and a titanium adjustable truss rod with a“Stealth" truss rod cover (you push a pin through the back of the headstock to remove it), Gold Gotoh 510 tuning machines with Cocobolo buttons, a Bone Nut & Saddle and Snakewood heelcap and end grafts and ”Gun stock" neck finish on the laminated neck. What are the best guitars for beginners?
The best guitars for beginners have to be both affordable and high-quality, so that you don't have to struggle and can enjoy excellent tone. We recommend that all beginners start with Taylor guitars, particularly the Academy, GS-Mini or Baby guitars, as they are affordable, North American made and easily adjusted by a skilled guitar tech. Many of our customers have a limited budget, or want a guitar they don't have to worry about taking to the camp fire. In this case, we recommend Yamaha guitars as excellent entry level guitars. We have found that they stand out from the competing in terms of their build quality, playability and they are remarkably durable. In summary, the best guitars for beginners are Taylor and Yamaha guitars. However we always recommend that beginners purchase the best quality guitar they can afford, that way they can enjoy the experience and have an instrument that they can grow into. And the worst guitars for beginners tend to be old ones, with rusty strings and high action (where the guitar strings are hard to press down). In that case, we often recommend getting a fresh new Yamaha or Taylor to get started.
