1993 Collings 0002H w/ K&K pickup
Here we have a beautiful Collings 0002H from 1993 featuring a fine set of Indian Rosewood back and sides with Sitka top. Sporting a 1 13/16" nut, slotted headstock and pyramid bridge this is a picker's dream. Gig ready, this guitar features a K&K pure mini pickup. My favorite thing about this guitar is the stunning Brazilian Rosewood headstock overlay, they simply don't do that anymore. In very good overall condition, this guitar has a few cracks in the top which have been repaired, there is light to medium fret-wear and a few other small cosmetic imperfections typical of a guitar of this age. 2010 Martin OMPCA1
This is a great sounding gigging guitar with the Fishman F1 Aura + system. This OMCPA1 Plus was built in its first year of production and features a Spruce top and East Indian Rosewood sides and back. It is in excellent plating condition with light signs of play. What are the best guitars for beginners?
The best guitars for beginners have to be both affordable and high-quality, so that you don't have to struggle and can enjoy excellent tone. We recommend that all beginners start with Taylor guitars, particularly the Academy, GS-Mini or Baby guitars, as they are affordable, North American made and easily adjusted by a skilled guitar tech. Many of our customers have a limited budget, or want a guitar they don't have to worry about taking to the camp fire. In this case, we recommend Yamaha guitars as excellent entry level guitars. We have found that they stand out from the competing in terms of their build quality, playability and they are remarkably durable. In summary, the best guitars for beginners are Taylor and Yamaha guitars. However we always recommend that beginners purchase the best quality guitar they can afford, that way they can enjoy the experience and have an instrument that they can grow into. And the worst guitars for beginners tend to be old ones, with rusty strings and high action (where the guitar strings are hard to press down). In that case, we often recommend getting a fresh new Yamaha or Taylor to get started.
