  • 1969 Fender Swinger Dakota Red
    Sold

    1969 Fender Swinger Dakota Red

Here we have a unique and rare vintage 60s Fender model called the Swinger in its quintessential Dakota Red. A nod to the space age spirit of the sixties, this guitar has a bit of a modern rock n' roll attitude. A favorite model of well known artists such as Ben Kweller on his debut album and Tina Weymouth of the Talking Heads this is a compact guitar with style. The wiring on the inside is really tight so we weren't able to open it up for photos, but we have no reason to believe that this guitar is not all original except for the case. Comes with a Fender Hard shell case that is non-original but fits the guitar well. There is the usual pickguard shrinkage on the pickguard. The original finish has a great look, it has the usual checking and a few dings/dents here and there. Medium fret-wear, sounds great! The low e-string is a bit close to the edge of the fretboard, so you may choose to eventually bring it to your tech for adjustment for optimal playability. The nut width is slim with a 1 7/16" nut and the short scale makes this super easy to play. Overall a super cool collectors piece or ready to rock in your studio or on stage!
