This classic round-shouldered dreadnought is infused with characteristic Santa Cruz volume, balance and complexity. It drips with the kind of deep, rich bass and sweet trebles that you can usually only find on an old guitar thanks to it's Old Growth Mahogany body and Old Growth Adirondack Spruce top. It also has Adirondack bracing attached with hot hide glue. The 1 11/16” width nut and 25.375” scale length feel just right too! This is one wow of a guitar with classic, top shelf tone! The faux Tortoise Dalmatian pickguard looks fantastic and not all companies have this kind of authentic looking Dalmation guard available (they often use a standard Tortoise guard on their "Tony Rice" models) This one is lightly used, with the lightest of fret-wear and only superficial finish wear you would expect on a gently handled, well taken care of instrument. This guitar has the beautifully thin nitro finish that allows the full resonance of this fine tone-wood to absolutely shine. The saddle was shaved slightly for optimal playability yet retains plenty of saddle height for excellent break angle and an ebony strap button was professionally installed at the proper position at the heel of the neck. The Santa Cruz Tony Rice model is legendary and this one is customized with a German Spruce top and Adirondack bracing with hot hide glue for guaranteed great tone! It is in Excellent condition with only some signs of play. The end-pin was changed when an Anthem pick-up was temporarily installed. It comes with its hard shell case in excellent condition.

This beautiful 12-Fret Dread is in excellent condition with great tone and great action. From Santa Cruz: “Building a guitar with 12 frets clear of the body creates more air volume, which allows greater amplitude and sustain. We are proud and privileged to present one of the true holy grails of the acoustic guitar world, the Santa Cruz 1934 D! The tone on this instrument is just beautiful thanks to its old growth Brazilian Rosewood and old Adirondack Spruce. It is set up perfectly and the neck features a traditional 1 11/16" width nut and 25.25" scale for an incredible feel. We are the original sellers of this one owner guitar and so we know that it has been carefully cared for. It is in mint condition though the frets show enough play that we should say that they are in 98%+ condition. The case is super-clean too as this guitar has never been "gigged". This is instrument is one of "the good ones", super-cool and inspiring to play!

Here is a fine example of the Santa Cruz D Pre War, one of the best sounding dreadnought guitars around! The D Pre War's scalloped/advanced x bracing gives this guitar a classic vintage tone. The large resonant body has a Sitka Spruce top and Indian Rosewood back and sides for classic tone. The genuine mahogany neck has a1 11/16" wide nut, a 23.375" scale and an ebony fingerboard for easy playing. It is gig and recording ready with a high-quality LR Baggs Anthem pick-up installed. It lets you control the blend between an internally mounted microphone and under-saddle pick-up to give you a very natural sounding amplified tone. The finish and pickguard show almost no wear but there is a very small ding on the lower bout and one even smaller one on the back. There are also a few light capo marks on the back of the neck. The frets are in 85% to 90% condition and have lots of life left. There are no other issues with the instrument. it is very clean and it comes with its original deluxe hard shell case.

Fashioned after Doc Watson’s prototype, this guitar sounds and plays just great with a loud rich Mahogany tone and nice low action. The guitar is in excellent condition but we are rating and pricing it as in “very good” condition as the Sitka spruce top had a center seam repair performed by Santa Cruz Guitars, but without full lacquer work, so it is still a little visible cosmetically if you're looking for it, but it is completely structurally sound. Otherwise, the guitar is as clean as whistle and has a great overall appearance. But it really the feel and tonal characteristic of this guitar that makes it outstanding. It is gig ready with a K&K Pure Mini pickup. It comes with its original hard shell case.
