We are the original sellers of this gorgeous OO and we are pleased to be able to offer it again. It features one of the best sets of Madagascar Rosewood that we’ve had pass through these doors. The Adirondack Spruce top lends this guitar an open airy tone with a wide dynamic range. The 14-fret short scale and 1 23/32” width nut makes this guitar a dream to play. This is an extraordinary OO with a warm tone and the volume that you would expect from a larger instrument. It comes with its original deluxe hard shell case.
Sold2003 Bourgeois OM Vintage | Madagascar RW & Adirondack
It is not often that we receive a beautiful pre-loved Bourgeois OM, let alone one made out of insanely gorgeous, straight grained, Madagascar Rosewood and tremendously tight grained Adirondack. Being from 2003 this guitar has had plenty of time to open up and it has! Some words that come to mind regarding tone: crisp, clear, articulate, mature, balanced, rich, meaty and warm. Dripping in all of the tonal goodness one expects from a Dana Bourgeois guitar. Elegantly appointed in the pre-war style, this instrument features Ivoroid binding, heel cap and bottom wedge. A herring bone purfling and vintage zig-zag back strip, along with Waverly butterbean tuners. Slotted square and diamond fretboard inlay with Bourgeois logo in Abalone shell. Classic faux tortoise pickguard. A bone nut, saddle and bridge pins make this guitar sing! And to top it all off the Ebony fingerboard and bridge are black as night. Our clients often comment on how comfortable the neck of Bourgeois guitars are. Being a modern slim neck, it features the slightest V to fit into the crook of the hand. The nut width on this guitar is a standard 1 3/4" The action is set medium low so it is super easy to play. Despite being nearly twenty years old, this instrument is in pristine condition. We would describe it as excellent to nearly mint condition. Upon inspection I saw no visible dings or dents, no fret wear and only the lightest pinky drag wear on the pickguard. Not even dents on the top of the headstock! This thing is in wonderful condition. Whoever ends up with this one is going to be SUPER lucky. This guitar comes with the original Bourgeois TKL case (flat top) with Dana's favorite, mint green interior.

This is a beautiful OO-12 fret model, one of our favorite guitars. It is a great size to hold and play and the cutaway gives you great upper fret access.
Sold1995 Bourgeois Jumbo OM Deluxe Cutaway
This beautiful Jumbo OM Deluxe Cutaway (JOMC) harkens from Dana Bourgeois' early days and has a big, warm, nicely broken in tone. The guitar plays great plays with nice low action. It definitely shows its years of play for sure but it held up great and is ready to play with no issues. It has a couple of top cracks that were properly repaired for us by S.B. MacDonald of Chester, Vt. Its features include: Sitka Top, Indian Rosewood Back and Sides, Abalone top border, rare Pyramid Belly bridge, “Floral” fretboard inlay and a 1 3/4" nut. A nice photo of David Crosby enjoying the guitar is included. A brand new TKL 8815/LTD hard case is also included.

This OMC Custom with a cutaway combines great tone and playablity with great looks! It features a premium Italian Spruce top and a gorgeous set of Indian Rosewood sides and back. We designed and personally selected the woods for this 00 cutaway at the Bourgeois shop with Dana’s Bourgeois’ input. This great sounding 00 features a fantastic set of Brazilian Rosewood and a beautiful Redwood top. This gorgeous OM features a premium grade Adirondack “Red” Spruce top and master-grade Madagascar Rosewood back and sides. The tone is as good as an OM can get with a rich and balanced sound. It is in near-mint condition with very little sign of play for a 10 year old guitar beyond some light fret wear and a very small ding or two onto top. It comes with its original hard shell case.

Here is a guitar that really has it all. First, it’s one of the very best sounding OM’s to come out of the Bourgeois shop, there’s just something about that large soundhole! This gorgeous cutaway OM features an Aged Tone Bearclaw Sitka Spruce top and Master Grade Hawaiian Koa back and sides. The 1 3/4” nut width and 25 1/5” scale length combine to make this guitar a breeze to play. Aged Tone options also include Adirondack Spruce Bracing, and Animal Protein Glue. The DB Signature 3-color herringbone purfling and gold Waverly tuners with Ebony buttons add to the elegant look of this beautiful guitar. It was just built in December of 2020 and is in excellent condition with no issues. It originally sold for $11,300. It comes with it’s hard shell case.

Here is a video we made of our visit to the Bourgeois factory in Lewiston, Maine. We interviewed Dana Bourgeois about his guitar philosophy and juxtaposed those words with video of his small crew hand crafting these fine guitars. As you can see, it is like something from the old days, so much hand crafting and attention to the details. At each step in the guitar construction process skilled luthiers carefully complete their task. Whether it be carving, sanding, stringing and setup each stage requires experience and care. This is what makes these Bourgeois guitars so great.
While Bourgeois has broadened their global reach through their Eastman collaboration called the Touchstone series, all other series such as the Professional, Heirloom, Legacy, Agetone etc... are completely hand crafted in the USA at the Lewiston factory under the watchful eye of Dana Bourgeois.
