Many of our clients will likely appreciate the satin finish neck, offering a fast and comfortable playing experience. Another important customization of note is this guitar is short scale! Adding to the comfort and ease of playing while retaining that wonderfully focussed OM tone. • 2022 Collings OM1 Mh SS VN

2022 Collings OM1 Mh SS VN

    $4,999.00
Looking for a guitar with wow factor? Collings does it about as nicely as anybody. This gently used OM1 Mh SS VN is exceptional and in excellent overall condition. Hog top OM guitars are not common and this one has a couple of features that set it apart even further. This OM is short scale (thus the SS) making it super easy to play and the VN stands for Vintage Now neck carve, so a little different from the standard Collings neck. It is a slim modern carve, but with just enough V to fit the crook of the hand. Everything about this guitar makes you want to play it more and more, stunning craftsmanship. My favorite thing about this instrument is the nice warm, dry and round tone of the Mahogany top. It really rounds out the tone as Collings guitars are known for having a crisp articulate tone already. This guitar is in excellent overall condition, with little to no fret-wear, and light pickguard wear. This instrument is just about as nice as they come and whoever nabs this one is going to be lucky!

  • 2009 Alembic Further

    2009 Alembic Further "Coyote"!

    $24,999.00
This classic custom Further's origin story is featured on Alembic's website at: http://www.alembic.com/info/ fc_coyote.html . This one-owner guitar is in excellent condition Sometimes a guitar really transforms as Alembic makes it, inheriting the attributes of the symbols they embellish it with, becoming more than the sum of its parts. It's not something you can design or even do on purpose. The process itself shapes the work, and the result can be, well, just magical. How can we not start with the coyote medallion inlay? It's a little piece of original artwork that Susan Wickersham created with a good old-fashioned pencil. It features a coyote, lighting, and a little nod to New Riders of the Purple Sage with the cactus and the forms of the clouds. The pencil sketch is then digitized by Mica to create the fine line art that James uses to handcut each piece. The coyote is inlaid in agoya shell with a pink ivory wood lined mouth howling up to a mother of pearl moon through black Tahitian mother of pearl clouds. The desert is a synthetic tortoise shell. The mesas rising up are in both red and orange spiny oyster. The cactus is abalone and the lightning bolt is sterling silver. The whole show is wrapped in a tidy ring of sterling silver. Alembic's Quilted Maple is always beautiful, and of course Coyote's top laminate is gorgeous. What is especially interesting about this figuring on this guitar is the small, fluid-like "quilts" that just melt around each other. An all-over vintage amber tint gives a golden glow to the naturally lovely wood, and also looks great over the inlaid medallion, like a relic from a forgotten time. The front of the peghead looks black at first, but closer inspection reveals the typical grain of Ebony. The bevelled the front edge of the peghead to reveal the interior veneers of Maple and Purpleheart. A lone coyote paw print is the first fret position inlay. Mother of pearl makes up most of the inlay, with tiny sterling silver claws. The Alembic logo is sterling silver inlaid under the finish with mother of pearl and abalone. Fingerboard inlays are in abalone in the style of Ludwig banjos. Lovely symmetrical designs, hinting at the botanical. "Tumbleweed" is a good description of the shapes! On a custom guitar, it's hard to resist the allure of continuous wood backplates. Not only are they nice to your back (lighter weight than the standard brass), but they are also nice to your eyes. They are just too pretty! Each plate position is plotted carefully and expertly cut on a scroll saw and used to construct the plates. Playability is everything you could ask for: light weight and great balance. Strap up, plug in and let the coyote roam and see where she takes you! • 2022 Taylor 514ce Urban Ironbark Torrefied Sitka

2022 Taylor 514ce Urban Ironbark Torrefied Sitka

    $3,499.00
    $2,599.00
Taylor has a long history of introducing compelling new tonewood flavors to the world, and they're as excited as they ’ve ever been to debut a stunning new entry — red ironbark — as the new featured tonewood of our reimagined 500 Series. (Sourced in Southern California through our urban wood initiative, they ’re calling the wood Urban Ironbark.) After exploring and falling in love with its acoustic properties, master builder Andy Powers has paired ironbark back and sides with a torrefied spruce top and deployed a new voicing recipe — shaped by our V-Class bracing — to bring another uniquely enticing tone profile to the Taylor line. The Tone: Imagine the sonic depth and richness of Indian rosewood pushed to another level. Red Ironbark’s hardness and density are comparable to ebony, and together with a roasted spruce top, produce a sound that’s loud, muscular and sweet, with piano-like fidelity, complexity and depth across the entire frequency spectrum. Notes jump out of the guitar, producing a natural amplifying effect that will fill a room with sound. Any player who appreciates the sonic virtues and versatility of our flagship rosewood/spruce 814ce will love the Grand Auditorium 514ce, while the other new 500 Series entry, the Grand Concert 512ce, also produces remarkable volume and dynamic range, blending the responsiveness of a smaller body with bold projection that also makes it an inspiring strummer. Appointments: In a nod to the classic heritage of Taylor’s 500 Series, the new appointment package preserves a traditional aesthetic, updated with subtle decorative touches to complement the new wood pairing. The back and sides feature a stain that deepens ironbark’s natural reddish and golden-brown hues. The body and neck also feature a lightly shaded edgeburst, with a gloss-finish body and satin-finish neck. Other details include new Aerial inlays in Italian acrylic, faux tortoise binding and pickguard, a single-ring abalone rosette with maple and black purfling, and Taylor nickel tuners. Both models feature a Venetian cutaway and onboard ES2 electronics and ship with a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.

  • 2021 Fender KURT COBAIN JAG-STANG® Fiesta red

2021 Fender KURT COBAIN JAG-STANG® Fiesta red

    $1,349.99
    $925.00
Few artists in music history can be credited with changing the industry nearly overnight and continuing to influence music culture three decades after the height of their popularity. Kurt Cobain and his bandmates in Nirvana appeared on the scene in the early ‘90s as generational talents who combined raucous, heavy tones, punk-infused energy and melodic hooks to create a sound that quickly attracted millions of fans and established grunge and alternative rock as a genre with legitimate mainstream appeal. Although Kurt was seen playing a variety of Fender guitars over the years, his Fender Jaguar® and Mustang® remain the most iconic due to their use on the “Nevermind” tour and “Smells Like Teen Spirit” music video. Kurt designed the Jag-Stang® to combine his favorite elements of both instruments and brought it to life with help from the Fender Custom Shop in 1993. Commemorating the 30th anniversary of Nirvana’s seminal record “Nevermind,” this Jag-Stang comes equipped with the same features that made it Kurt’s ideal instrument. The alder body delivers a punchy tone perfect for big power chords, the 24” short-scale reduces string tension for easier playing, and the 7.25” radius rosewood fingerboard with maple neck has a comfortable feel that won’t fatigue your hands when chording. The vintage-style single-coil and custom humbucking pickups are perfect for recreating Kurt’s classic tones, while the Mustang slider switches provide the flexibility to dial in four distinct settings for a variety of in or out-of-phase tones. This is new old stock being sold as clearance and is sold as-described.
