Used 1925/26 Gibson A-1

This approximately 100 year old Gibson mandolin is absolutely wonderful! Musical instruments, when well cared for only get better with age. This instrument has a sweet, rich and musical tone that simply envelops you and leads you down a mysterious path of musical exploration. The fine Mahogany on the back and sides is warm sounding and voices the crisp mandolin tone in a nice round way. This one has a fine black finish that is accented with white binding. The original bridge is in the case, also in the case is the tiny key that goes with the mandolin. They put a new bridge on the mandolin we guess because the original cracked down the middle and was glued back together, but they kept that original bridge in the case compartment. The case appears original, as-well as that beautiful Gibson tail piece. This thing really has a majestic sound, plays nicely and is easy on the eyes.
