    $14,299.00
    $12,869.00
The cutaway Soloist is the perfect Fingerstyle guitar with its great tonal balance and playability and easy access to upper frets. We selected Italian Spruce for this guitar's top as well as fantastic sounding Master Grade Hybrid Brazilian Rosewood back and sides for superior tone. Hybrid? Dana thinks that it is but doesn’t know what it’s a hybrid with. Dana’s quote on this wood is “Sold to us as genuine Brazilian rosewood, we can attest that this attractive tonewood wood sounds like Brazilian , is of similar weight to Brazilian , and smells like Brazilian . However, due to its striking coloration and atypical grain patterning, we are of the opinion that this is most likely a hybridized version”. We just love this wood for its look and sound! It comes with its hard shell case.

    $4,699.00
It is not every day that we receive a Brazilian Rosewood slope shoulder dreadnought so fully featured and with a crisp, robust and mature tone. Lets dig into some of the awesome features of this unique Burkett SD. Taking inspiration from 1937 Gibson AJ specs but with a 24.75" scale this instrument is comfortable to play but has tone in spades. One of my favorite things about this guitar is the wonderfully straight grained Brazilian Rosewood, finely quarter sawn. The neck shape is comfortable with a 1 3/4" nut. The Adirondack spruce top and braces lends the perfect soundboard for the winning Brazilian and Adi wood combination, often thought of as the finest wood combination for a guitar. This instrument is all tied together with a dazzling curly Koa body and binding along with a Koa /lack/Koa rosette. The cut-through saddle gives it a classic look and solid tone. And to top it all off it has a wonderful finish featuring a classic sunburst and nitro finish. Other fine details of this instrument include a 42 style fretboard inlay and Waverly tuners. The top has a repaired center seam which was re-glued and is stable. Ebony fingerboard & bridge, bone nut and saddle along with a Greven pickguard. • 2019 Santa Cruz Tony Rice Professional
    Sold

2019 Santa Cruz Tony Rice Professional

There are few other acoustic guitar models as coveted as the Tony Rice Professional from Santa Cruz, designed for one of the absolute greats this instrument is built for the finest tone, clarity and articulation possible. Featuring a stunning set of finely quarter sawn Brazilian Rosewood and German Spruce this guitar will knock your socks off with its depth of tone. Some of the features that make this uniquely a Tony Rice is the deluxe binding up the neck and around the headstock, the large sound-hole, cut-through saddle, no fretboard markers and a stunning no-logo Brazilian Rosewood overlay headstock veneer, all giving a nod to the legacy of Clarence White and his relationship to Tony Rice. Besides the gold tuning gears, which tie together the overall golden look of this guitar, one feature I absolutely love on this particular guitar is the pickguard. The faux Tortoise Dalmatian pickguard looks fantastic and not all companies have this kind of authentic looking Dalmation guard available (they often use a standard Tortoise guard on their "Tony Rice" models) This one is lightly used, with the lightest of fret-wear and only superficial finish wear you would expect on a gently handled, well taken care of instrument. This guitar has the beautifully thin nitro finish that allows the full resonance of this fine tone-wood to absolutely shine. This is the type of instrument that will pull the music out of you for hours at a time. The saddle was shaved slightly for optimal playability yet retains plenty of saddle height for excellent break angle and an ebony strap button was professionally installed at the proper position at the heel of the neck. This instrument comes with its original deluxe Ameritage hard shell case. If you are looking for one of the absolute best sounding dreadnoughts on the planet, look no further, grab it before its gone!

This is the best of the best, responsive to the touch, warm to the ear and pleasing to the eye. Subtle use of leaf shaped abalone fingerboard inlays and soundboard purfling combine with the ideal choice of reclaimed Brazilian rosewood and a cedar top. With a deluxe hard shell case.
Brazilian Rosewood is considered by many to be the ultimate guitar tone wood. We currently have an excellent selection of beautiful Brazilian Rosewood guitars from Bourgeois guitars and Santa Cruz guitars. Brazilian has an amazing tonal reflectivity and clarity and balance across the frequency spectrum. It is highly resonant giving guitars what we call bone tone. Sometimes described as a high velocity of sound, Brazilian Rosewood is responsive and complements all top woods perfectly. Many people claim that other woods are similar, but none compare in the excellent quality of this wood for guitar building. Brazilian Rosewood has been banned from import since the 1990s and the stock of wood that is available in the USA to build with has been dwindling for years. This rarity contributes to its value especially because it is so highly sought after for the finest instruments.
