Boucher Guitars

Boucher Guitars is a Canadian acoustic guitar maker based in Berthier-sur-Mer, Quebec, founded around a vision that began in 2005 to create high-quality instruments combining sound, playability, and aesthetics. The company is built around a team of luthiers led by Robin Boucher who handcraft each guitar with careful attention to detail, aiming for strong projection, harmonic richness, and balance. A key focus of their work is the use of Picea rubens (Adirondack red spruce), a tonewood native to their region that they emphasize for its acoustic qualities, along with carefully selected exotic woods for visual and tonal variety. They also highlight innovation in their instruments, including early adoption of torrefied spruce soundboards, and continue refining design, structure, and playability while working with a range of musicians who use their guitars.
