Bourgeois LG-SH OM Touchstone | Large Soundhole OM
A best-seller here at Northern Lights, the large soundhole OM model from Bourgeois is a nod to Clarence White of the Byrds whos guitar ended up famously being owned and played by Tony Rice. Tony and Clarence's guitars were Dreadnoughts, so this takes that similar design and puts it into a comfortable and realatively compact (compared to a dread) form factor. Some of the appointments quintessential to this style is the larger bound soundhole, no fingerboard markers and no logo headstock with logo on back. The wood on this one is Torrified Adirondack spruce and the back and sides is Indian Rosewood. They managed to offer this guitar at this affordable price point by milling/torrifying their own Adirondack top and then they send the top to Eastman in Beijing, who builds the rest of the guitar. So with the Touchstone series you get a Lewiston, Maine voiced Adirondack spruce top. Overall this guitar has a warm, meaty tone and a comfortable modern neck with slim shoulders for ease of playing. Double action truss rod is a dream and overall this is an incredibly tempting guitar from Bourgeois. Comes with a deluxe hard shell case.
