Used 1932/34 Gibson L-50

Wow, check this thing out! A 1932/34 Gibson L-50, in the shape of an L-00 but with more of a arched top. This one reminds me quite a bit of Gibson mandolins I've seen in this period with the beautiful abalone Gibson logo in a kind of cursive and the nice reddish sunburst. As someone who has always appreciated antiques and the fine craftsmanship of the past this strikes me as a true treasure. The sound is dry and a bit mid-rangy with a wonderful parlor quality that is perfect for certain old finger-styles and jazz playing. Its bright twangy character would also lend itself well to songwriting and singing. The neck is a bit chunky with a pronounced V which gives you plenty to hold on to. One of my favorite features on this guitar is the lovely chocolatey brown Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. Plays sweet, sounds lush an absolute beauty, grab it before its gone! Comes with a hard shell case.
