There is no better sounding small guitar available today than this spectacular Tier 1 Brazilian Rosewood Firefly. Beautifully topped with Italian Bearclaw Spruce, this parlor-size instrument yields a sound you would expect from a larger guitar. The 1 11/16” nut width and short scale makes the widest reaches easy to make. Other complimentary features include Koa headstock overlay and fingerboard binding with side purfles, Abalone side dots, Abalone logo headstock inlay, an End pin with Abalone dot and Gold Mini Gotoh tuners. The Santa Cruz Tony Rice model is legendary and this one is customized with a German Spruce top and Adirondack bracing with hot hide glue for guaranteed great tone! It is in Excellent condition with only some signs of play. The end-pin was changed when an Anthem pick-up was temporarily installed. It comes with its hard shell case in excellent condition.

We love Koa, besides looking great, we think it is an incredible tone wood, especially sweet for backs and sides in combination with a great spruce top. A 13 fret neck, 1-3/4" nut, V shaped neck and 25.375 scale length make this guitar a joy to play! We were the original sellers of this guitar and can vouch that one owner took great care of it. Its appointments include a 45 Style fretboard inlay, abalone rosette, Waverly 4065 tuners with Ivoroid buttons and Ebony bridge pins with abalone dots. The luxurious feeling long scale neck features a 1 3/4” width nut for roomy chording. All other specifications are standard to the model. This heirloom quality instrument is in excellent condition with only slight signs of the play on the pickguard. There are no dings, dents, scratches or issues and no visible fret wear and comes from a smoke-free environment. It comes with its original hard shell case.

This beauty has killer tone thanks to its Master-Grade Fiddleback Mahogany back and sides and Adirondack spruce top. It also boasts Adi bracing and Brazilian body, neck and peghead binding. It does show signs of light playing and there is lots of life left in the frets though there is some fret-wear in the places that you'd expect after a few years of bluegrass playing.
