L-DBO Bourgeois

This little Gloss Black Coupe is one of the coolest guitars to come out of the Bourgeois shop! The Aged Tone Sitka top combined with Aged Tone Curly Maple is our favorite wood combination on the L/DBO and is exceptionally warm sounding, especially for a small guitar. The short scale, 1 11/16”” nut width neck is incredibly easy to play. The "C" shaped, custom round neck carve has no V and was shaped as thin as possible for maximum ease and comfort. It is in excellent condition with only the most minor fret wear and has been kept humidified in its original hard shell case.

This used guitar is gig-ready with an LR Baggs Lyric pick-up and is in excellent condition with only light signs of play. All Mahogany construction, combined with selected body styles and proper voicing, provides punchy tone and warm, woody characteristics. Ideal for players seeking a warm, clear, tone with strong fundamental, long sustain, and headroom capability. With its original hard shell case.

Here we have a truly awesome Bourgeois L-DBO. The aim of the Generation series is to deliver a no frills guitar with a torrefied top and a quality LR Baggs pickup system. All of this amounts to an absolutely gig ready instrument with incredible Dana Bourgeois tapped tone. My first impression of this guitar was as an exceptional finger style instrument, responsive and easy to play. But then I tried it with a flat pick and was surprised by the way it almost sounded like a dreadnought, with girth and projection not usually associated with a smaller bodied guitar. Another design note I find particularly cool about this one is it has no back binding, like the 1930's L-00 guitars. Condition: It is in excellent condition with no visible dings nor dents. The only sign of fret-wear is light wear at the second and third frets at the B string. There appears to be pinky cuticle wear/light pick wear on the pickguard. The neck has become glossy where one rests the palm of their hand while fretting. Comes with its original deluxe Bourgeois hard shell case with mint green crushed red velvet interior. 2020 Bourgeois LDBO - A stunning instrument visually and oooh the sound. Easy and fun to play the LDBO has a comfortable form factor while featuring that amazing Dana Bourgeois sound. Has an extra comfortable 1 23/32" Nut and 2.2" belly bridge. Materials: This instrument is build with the most premium materials. Stunning Ziricote fretboard, bridge and fretboard binding. The Sinker Mahogany on this instrument has an amazing rich tone and superior sustain. Beyond the superior tone, the Mahogany on this instrument has gorgeous figuring. To top it all off (no pun intended) we have an Aged Tone Adirondack top that will knock your socks off. Dana does each burst himself and this one is stunning. Sound: Warm, rich and rounded tone. The Mahogany has a great mellow vibe while the Adirondack has fantastic dynamic range and complex tonal support that will keep you picking. The smaller body size lends itself well to blues, finger-style and other traditional styles. Condition: Mint condition. Little to no fret-wear, closer to the no fret-wear end of things. No dings nor dents, not even the usual finish wear you might expect for a gently-pre owned instrument. It looks almost new. Plays awesome.

This spectacular, mint condition, custom instrument's woods and features were hand-selected by us with Dana Bourgeois at the Bourgeois shop to replicate his personal L-DBO. It features an Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce top and master grade figured mahogany on the back and sides. The fingerboard and 2 5/16" bridge are made with smooth feeling, highly figured Madagascar Rosewood. The nut width is 1 3/4" inches on this short scale neck. Other cool features include Waverly tuners with snakewood buttons and Abalone Diamonds and Arrows fretboard inlay. The original hard shell case is included.
