This Sunburst, Bearclaw Figured Aged Tone Sitka Spruce cutaway GA size guitar has it all, beautiful build and gorgeous tone.It’s highly figured Walnut back and sides yield a clear warm tone as does the Aged Tone Torrified bracing. The Signature Series Koa binding with Herringbone purfling’s look is complemented by tasteful Petite Vine inlays on the fingerboard and headstock and an inlaid belly bridge. Few artists in music history can be credited with changing the industry nearly overnight and continuing to influence music culture three decades after the height of their popularity. Kurt Cobain and his bandmates in Nirvana appeared on the scene in the early ‘90s as generational talents who combined raucous, heavy tones, punk-infused energy and melodic hooks to create a sound that quickly attracted millions of fans and established grunge and alternative rock as a genre with legitimate mainstream appeal. Although Kurt was seen playing a variety of Fender guitars over the years, his Fender Jaguar® and Mustang® remain the most iconic due to their use on the “Nevermind” tour and “Smells Like Teen Spirit” music video. Kurt designed the Jag-Stang® to combine his favorite elements of both instruments and brought it to life with help from the Fender Custom Shop in 1993. Commemorating the 30th anniversary of Nirvana’s seminal record “Nevermind,” this Jag-Stang comes equipped with the same features that made it Kurt’s ideal instrument. The alder body delivers a punchy tone perfect for big power chords, the 24” short-scale reduces string tension for easier playing, and the 7.25” radius rosewood fingerboard with maple neck has a comfortable feel that won’t fatigue your hands when chording. The vintage-style single-coil and custom humbucking pickups are perfect for recreating Kurt’s classic tones, while the Mustang slider switches provide the flexibility to dial in four distinct settings for a variety of in or out-of-phase tones. Wow! This guitar sounds incredible! Representing the pinnacle of the Master Luthiers’ art, we are proud to be able to present the all-master grade Koa OM-45 from Dana Bourgeois. The gorgeous Koa is off-set by the English Holly bridge, body, neck and peghead binding and Style 45 purfling. The 1 3/4” width nut and long scale length makes this guitar a dream to play. The floral headstock inlay and gold, engraved Waverly tuners compliment the DB snowflake fingerboard inlays. Other nice touches include Animal protein glue construction, Aged Tone Torrefied bracing and Antique Walrus bridge pins. This guitar has to be seen and heard to be believed! Crafted from some of the finest tonewoods in its class, the Touchstone D Country Boy features a one-piece Honduran Mahogany neck, Honduran Mahogany back and sides, and a hand-voiced, old-growth Sitka Spruce top. This guitar is crafted with Bourgeois’ signature attention-to-detail. Drawing on his half-century of experience as a luthier, Dana and his team carefully select each old-growth Alaskan Sitka Spruce soundboard by hand before bracing it with Adirondack Spruce harvested from deep in northern forests of Maine. The magic of the Touchstone Series comes from Dana’s renown system of hand-voicing. Over the last 50 years he has refined this old-world technique and is now recognized worldwide as a foremost authority on guitar-top voicing. This custom Santa Cruz OM Grand model offers all the comfort and balance of an OM model but with a lot more lushness and power that will make you think "OMG" when you first experience it! The back and sides are a master grade set of Indian Rosewood, one of our absolute favorite Rosewoods. The guitar is topped with Vintage Tinted Adirondack Spruce with Adi bracing attached with hot hide glue to enhance the clarity and dynamic range.
