The OO size body and short scale combined with a cutaway make this one of the most fun guitar to play that you can imagine. This guitar has a gorgeous tone thanks to its Bearclaw Figured Aged Tone Sitka Spruce and East Indian Rosewood combined with Aged Tone Torrefied Bracing attached with animal protein glue. The DB Signature appointments, Koa body, neck and head binding and Dana's three-color signature herringbone purfling beautifully compliment the beautiful tonewoods on this instrument. It comes with its deluxe hard shell case.
SoldBourgeois OM Vintage Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce Brazilian Rosewood
Built out of a beautiful straight grained Brazilian Rosewood and Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce this Bourgeois OM is a pickers' dream. Featuring a comfortable 1 11/16" nut width this guitar is suited for fast flat picking but also has tone in spades for finger picking. With traditional appointments, such as herringbone purfling and vintage zig zag back strip this guitar gives a nod to tradition while offering modern construction and vibrant tone. This guitar has a mature, crisp and balanced tone with headroom to spare. This is a special set of Brazilian rosewood that we selected based on its fine grain pattern and coloration. But the best part is the tone!

This luxurious OM features a cutaway for high fret access and an arm bevel for playing comfort. We personally selected the Italian Spruce top and Tasmanian Blackwood back and sides which give this guitar great classic tone at the Bourgeois shop. The Aged Tone Torrified bracing and animal protein glue construction gives an extra boost that makes this guitar's detailed tone hard to beat. It comes with a deluxe hard shell case.

We hand selected the Master Grade Hawaiian Koa and figured Aged Tone Bearclaw Sitka Spruce top at the Bourgeois shop in Lewiston, Maine with the guidance of Dana Bourgeois. We then decided to use the wood for a cutaway large-soundhole Soloist to honor the wood and then chose too add a killer sunburst to accentuate the top wood’s gorgeous figuring. Aged tone Adirondack Spruce bracing attached with animal protein glue adds to the tone of these master grade tonewoods! The long scale neck with a 1 3/4” wide nut feels smooth and roomy too. This guitar comes with a deluxe hard shell case.

Here is a video we made of our visit to the Bourgeois factory in Lewiston, Maine. We interviewed Dana Bourgeois about his guitar philosophy and juxtaposed those words with video of his small crew hand crafting these fine guitars. As you can see, it is like something from the old days, so much hand crafting and attention to the details. At each step in the guitar construction process skilled luthiers carefully complete their task. Whether it be carving, sanding, stringing and setup each stage requires experience and care. This is what makes these Bourgeois guitars so great.
While Bourgeois has broadened their global reach through their Eastman collaboration called the Touchstone series, all other series such as the Professional, Heirloom, Legacy, Agetone etc... are completely hand crafted in the USA at the Lewiston factory under the watchful eye of Dana Bourgeois.
