SoldBourgeois OMS-12 Victorian
This OMS is a very comfortable guitar to play and has exceptional tone thanks to its Bearclaw Carpathian Spruce top, Ziricote back and sides and Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce bracing. Features include Candy Rope Herringbone purfling and rosette, Ziricote headstock veneer and Waverly 3 on a plate ebony buttons. It comes with a deluxe hard shell case. With a large upper bout, longer air cavities and optimal bridge placement at the center of the widest part of the lower bout, he OMS combines these throwback features with a slotted headstock and a 25.5” scale neck to recreate a design still coveted by fingerstylists – and not a few flatpickers. Crafted from some of the finest tonewoods in its class, the Touchstone Country Boy features a one-piece Honduran Mahogany neck, Honduran Mahogany back and sides, and a hand-voiced, old-growth Sitka Spruce top. This guitar is crafted with Bourgeois’ signature attention-to-detail. Drawing on his half-century of experience as a luthier, Dana and his team carefully select each old-growth Alaskan Sitka Spruce soundboard by hand before bracing it with Adirondack Spruce harvested from deep in northern forests of Maine. The magic of the Touchstone Series comes from Dana’s renown system of hand-voicing. Over the last 50 years he has refined this old-world technique and is now recognized worldwide as a foremost authority on guitar-top voicing. This little Gloss Black Coupe is one of the coolest guitars to come out of the Bourgeois shop! The Aged Tone Sitka top combined with Aged Tone Curly Maple is our favorite wood combination on the L/DBO and is exceptionally warm sounding, especially for a small guitar. The short scale, 1 11/16”” nut width neck is incredibly easy to play. The "C" shaped, custom round neck carve has no V and was shaped as thin as possible for maximum ease and comfort. It is in excellent condition with only the most minor fret wear and has been kept humidified in its original hard shell case.

With a nod to Clarence White, this beautiful 2018 Bourgeois OM features stunning Brazilian Rosewood back and sides and a golden torrified Adirondack spruce top. The Large Soundhole style is a reference to Tony Rice's large soundhole guitar that he acquired from Clarence White. In keeping with this tradition, this guitar has not fretboard markers, only dots on the side of the neck and no logo on the front of the headstock. This gives the entire guitar a handsome, understated look. This guitar is in overall excellent condition and sounds rich, warm and full. Both a killer fingerstyle and flatpicking machine! Comes with its original Bourgeois Hardshell Case.

Here is a video we made of our visit to the Bourgeois factory in Lewiston, Maine. We interviewed Dana Bourgeois about his guitar philosophy and juxtaposed those words with video of his small crew hand crafting these fine guitars. As you can see, it is like something from the old days, so much hand crafting and attention to the details. At each step in the guitar construction process skilled luthiers carefully complete their task. Whether it be carving, sanding, stringing and setup each stage requires experience and care. This is what makes these Bourgeois guitars so great.
While Bourgeois has broadened their global reach through their Eastman collaboration called the Touchstone series, all other series such as the Professional, Heirloom, Legacy, Agetone etc... are completely hand crafted in the USA at the Lewiston factory under the watchful eye of Dana Bourgeois.
