The JOMT is one of our favorite size guitars. It has the feel and balanced sound of an OM with a little bit more bottom end. This beauty features an Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides and Aged Tone Torrefied Bracing attached with Animal Protein glue for killer tone. This is number 2 in a series of five Brazilian Victorian Limited Edition Parlor that Bourgeois offered in 2019. It is one of the best sounding parlor guitars we have had in the shop. It's lightly played with minimal fret wear and is in super clean shape. We are the original sellers of this one owner instrument and know that it has been cared for properly. The tone from it's premium Brazilian Rosewood, Adirondack Spruce and animal protein glue is as good as it gets. The short scale along with a 1 3/4" width nut and 2 5/16" bridge string spacing feel just great too. We have listed the build sheet to this guitar so that you can see all of the features that make this guitar so special. It comes with it's original hard shell case.

It feels great with a roomy 1 3/4" nut width and 2 5/16“ string spacing at the bridge. Animal protein glue construction and Aged Tone bracing and body finish add to the tone of the guitar and Waverly Snakewood and gold tuners keep it in great tune. This spectacular, mint condition, custom instrument's woods and features were hand-selected by us with Dana Bourgeois at the Bourgeois shop to replicate his personal L-DBO. It features an Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce top and master grade figured mahogany on the back and sides. The fingerboard and 2 5/16" bridge are made with smooth feeling, highly figured Madagascar Rosewood. The nut width is 1 3/4" inches on this short scale neck. Other cool features include Waverly tuners with snakewood buttons and Abalone Diamonds and Arrows fretboard inlay. The original hard shell case is included.

The fingerboard, fingerboard binding, bridge and heal cap are Ziricote. The headstock veneer is Ebony. This is a very ergonomic instrument with a 1 23/32" nut width, and a short 25" scale length. Here is a video we made of our visit to the Bourgeois factory in Lewiston, Maine. We interviewed Dana Bourgeois about his guitar philosophy and juxtaposed those words with video of his small crew hand crafting these fine guitars. As you can see, it is like something from the old days, so much hand crafting and attention to the details. At each step in the guitar construction process skilled luthiers carefully complete their task. Whether it be carving, sanding, stringing and setup each stage requires experience and care. This is what makes these Bourgeois guitars so great.
While Bourgeois has broadened their global reach through their Eastman collaboration called the Touchstone series, all other series such as the Professional, Heirloom, Legacy, Agetone etc... are completely hand crafted in the USA at the Lewiston factory under the watchful eye of Dana Bourgeois.
