Godin & Seagull

Godin Guitars with their factory right across the border in  LaPatrie , Quebec, is almost down the street from us at Northern Lights Music.  Robert Godin began making guitars in rural Quebec almost 50 years ago. With sons Simon and Patrick, the company is one of the largest manufacturers of guitars in North America. But where are the Godin guitars made exactly and what makes them so special to us?  La Patrie is at the foot of Mont-Mégantic National Park and is a water powered facility. We are impressed with Godin guitars because from forest to stage, they are North American. The necks and bodies are all made in the original location in La Patrie, Quebec from locally sourced materials using only reclaimed wood and working with forestries that impose strict replanting models. Godin Guitars are then assembled in its Quebec and New Hampshire factories. We have customers here in Northern New Hampshire who are proud workers in the Berlin, NH factory and come to our showroom to admire their finished products on display. Affordable, sustainable and they sound great!
